Jennifer Hazelwood has been a dance instructor for over 16 years. In 2011 she started a dance program in a private school, Cape Henry Collegiate, for ages Pre-K through high school. This program went from zero to over 100 students in under a year and is a growing part of the performing arts in the school. In September of 2015 (along with her husband, Wayne), Jennifer opened her own dance studio, First Landing Dance Center. FLDC has regular classes as well as a competitive dance team that has already won national titles. The team is looking forward to an exciting and successful 2nd year! She was also one of my closest and dearest friends in undergrad, where we were dance majors together.

For any artist who doubts they can fulfill the vision they have in their hearts by starting a business with your art, this conversation will surely convince you otherwise.

Michael Potts is a successful working actor in New York City, with credits including playing opposite Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in HBO’s True Detective and the role of Brother Mouzone in The Wire. On Broadway, Michael originated the role of Mafala Hatimbi in The Book of Mormon and his New York stage appearances include The Tempest, Richard III for which he won the Falstaff Award, Arms and the Man and The American Play for which he won the Obie Award.
