Chris Klongpayabal is an artist and website developer who takes pride in creating websites for businesses and artists that don't require a large investment and are focused on helping your potential clients know, like, trust and buy from you. Marketing your work as an artist is a skill that requires knowledge and practice, as well as a significant investment of time. The one mistake artists tend to make in this area is to spend too much time on tasks that they don't need to spend time on. This takes them away from accomplishing the more important creative marketing tasks that require their attention. Website development is something every artist can outsource, and knowing the right person to trust with this project as well as knowing how much to invest is key to making this a seamless process. Chris is at the top of this game. Tune it to get his insight on how to make this happen for your business with your art now!

If the word “Sales” sends you running for the hills as an artist with a business, stay tuned because my discussion with Mark Ford and Carmine Gentile is about to change the way you think about sales- especially as an artistic business owner- once and for all.

One thing most people don’t take into consideration about sales- artists especially- is that selling is a completely separate entity from marketing. And when you create a marketing message that stays true to the heart of your offer- connecting your art to those who most need and want it- the only thing you have to do in terms of closing a sale is simply present to the potential client what they will receive if they choose to purchase that offer from you.

There is an art to this, and something that takes strong communication skills that artists do best. You may not know it yet, but as an artist, you are probably the best salesperson you know. Listen to my talk with Mark and Carmine to find out how, and why.

Ellen McDermott is an artist living in Ireland whose photography and fine art is some of the most beautiful I’ve seen. But what makes her exceptionally inspiring is how she built her entire business as an artist after her husband suddenly passed away and left her with four children to raise single-handedly. She was determined to do so with her art alone, so figured out how to market her work by taking online classes late at night and building a strong business with her art that enabled her to raise her family as a single mom.

Listen to her story, you don’t want to miss this one.

My guest today, Joel Caparella, is one of the leading brand specialists for big companies as well as small businesses and solopreneurs. But the one thing that sets Joel apart, and one reason he is in such high demand with clients large and small is because he focuses on what matters most to people who want to build businesses based in integrity: the art of the story.

I’ve worked with Joel and know firsthand he is one of a kind when it comes to bringing out the story behind a company that not only creates a deeper level of trust with clients and potential clients, but reinforces the foundation upon which the business was created for the business itself- something very few brand analysts are able to do.

Join me in this discussion with Joel, and prepare to take notes because he has some powerful tips you can begin to implement into your branding right now!

I talk with many artists who are struggling with paying off debt, and I have to say it was not too long ago that I was deep in debt myself, and not sure how I was going to get out of it. It was right around that time that I met Anthony Davenport, owner of Regal Financial, one of the top credit protection companies in the country. Through his guidance and support, I was not only able to get out of debt faster than I could have anticipated, but I was able to clean up my credit profile, something I had no idea would need "cleaning up".

I learned during this time that it is not uncommon for people to not understand how credit agencies are portraying us, but once we do we can clear up our profiles and start fresh with a healthier financial profile all around. This is a great discussion that you may want to download for yourself to take notes on later, as Anthony shares some real insider tips on how the professionals take care of their credit and how you can begin to do the same for yourself and your business with your art, right now.

Have you ever felt that YOU are the person who is most in your way in building your business with your art- or in building anything that is meaningful to you? If so, you don't want to miss this discussion I had with Michelle Colt, co-founder of Inside Game, one of the most powerful and effective approaches to getting out of your own way I've ever encountered, and founder of How To Have The Courage To Let Your Light Shine And Be Seen, an empowring workshop for women who want to get past their own limitations and follow their authentic truths.

I have personally worked with Michelle and her husband Robert for the past several years, and attribute my ability to build a six-figure business, step fully into my power as an artist and handle the most adverse, confrontational experiences in my entire career to the work I've done with them.

So stay tuned as Michelle shares some tools I know will be able to help you in similar ways.

Houston-based fine artist, Marie Casamayor-Harvey, was selling her work here and there but didn't realize how much she could actually sell until she was able to put a financial plan in place and create a marketing plan to support it. Once she did, she was blown away by what happened.
